Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operative to join our team during the busy Harvest period from July to the end of October. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a counterbalanced forklift and performing various seed plant labour duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalanced forklift to move and stack materials safely and efficiently.
• Assist with seed plant operations, including loading and unloading materials.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support other team members with general labour tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance RITB Licence.
• Previous experience operating a counterbalanced forklift.
• Ability to perform manual labour and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Must be local to Colsterworth or have own transport due to limited public transport connections.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including extended hours during peak times.

Role Details

• Role type: long term temporary role
• Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Peak hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Wage: £13.25 per hour
