Qualifications

  • Experience in Oncology, Haematology or Chemotherapy is essential.
  • Cannulation and venepuncture experience required.
  • Full UK driving licence is mandatory.
  • SACT Passport or equivalent qualification is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oncology patients with treatments in their own homes.
  • Perform bloods and conduct toxicity assessments.
  • Administer IV and oral chemotherapy.
  • Carry out pump disconnections and line care.
  • Provide IM and SC injections.

Overview

Work as an Agency Chemotherapy Nurse for a nationally recognised, specialist provider of Cancer Care. This is a community-based role covering Aberdeenshire, working via our agency on a temporary contract.

As an Agency Chemotherapy Nurse, you will provide oncology patients with a range of treatments in their own homes. This role offers 32 to 40 hour contracts per week, with guaranteed shifts, working 4 or 5 days per week. Contracts are issued on a 3 month basis, with flexibility to extend.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oncology patients with treatments in the patients’ own homes.
  • Perform bloods
  • Conduct toxicity assessments
  • Administer IV chemotherapy
  • Administer oral chemotherapy
  • Carry out pump disconnections
  • Line care
  • IM and SC injections
  • And related community oncology interventions
