Our client, a leading Tier 1 Aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a Project Manager to join their expanding team in Congleton, Cheshire. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of critical projects, ensuring delivery remains on schedule, within scope, and aligned to agreed budgets. You will manage all phases of planning, execution, monitoring, and closure while upholding strong governance, clear communication, and effective stakeholder coordination throughout.
Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will serve as the central point of contact for all project activity and play a key role in enhancing project management standards and processes. To be considered for the position, you must have a minimum of 5 years experience within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key contributor within the Programmes function, supporting operational excellence and strategic project delivery.
- Champion a culture aligned with the organisation's core values, promoting accountability, collaboration, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Lead the development of project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, overseeing initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Monitor project performance against KPIs, budgets, milestones, and risk profiles, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring proactive resolution and minimal impact to project outcomes.
- Maintain high standards of project governance, including documentation, reporting, change control, and compliance with internal processes.

- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, time lines, and resources effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience in identifying risks and developing robust mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of governance and documentation capability, ensuring clarity, compliance, and accountability across all project activities.
