A leading company is seeking an Advisory Compliance Manager to join their UK Compliance Advisory Team in London. This role involves advising the Private Markets business on regulatory matters and enhancing governance processes. Successful candidates should have extensive knowledge of FCA regulations and excellent communication skills, with the opportunity to contribute to strategic compliance initiatives and professional development.
Please note this position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate, other locations cannot be considered.
Advisory Compliance Manager
This is a great job for someone who has extensive knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements related to asset management (e.g. MiFID II, AIFMD, SFDR).
A bit about the job:
We are looking for a Compliance Manager in Private Markets to join the UK Compliance Advisory Team, which provides advisory and technical support on all relevant UK and EU regulatory requirements. In this role, you will act as a specialist advising and supporting the Aviva Investors Private Markets business area on financial services regulatory matters (with the exception of financial crime compliance), as well as proactively support the Senior Compliance Advisory Manager to lead all aspects of, and contribute to, effective governance processes and robust conduct risk management. You will collaborate closely with the First Line Risk & Governance team to improve procedures and controls, deliver training to relevant staff, and maintain strong connections with the wider Advisory Team. This position also offers the opportunity to support senior compliance leadership and contribute to strategic compliance initiatives across the business.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Sound knowledge of Alternative Funds, Structured Products Private Credit, Designated Investments and ability to understand and apply FCA regulations, especially SYSC, COBS and FUND
Excellent knowledge of current sustainable finance regulations in the UK and EU
Degree or equivalent level of industry and technical experience
Understanding standard methodology in compliance within the asset management industry
Fluent and influential verbal and written communicator with good skills in developing relationships, negotiating effective outcomes and working with staff at all levels
