Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Flexi NP or PA at our Little Creek location!

The Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) is responsible for providing healthcare services to individuals, families, and groups under the auspices of Sentara Medical Group (SMG). Services include conducting health assessments, prescribing and providing treatments/interventions, performing occupational medicine regulatory exams, and procedures in a walk-in Urgent Care center. These services are provided under the supervision of the assigned physician(s) (collaborative agreement). The PA is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, and use resources appropriately.

Requires flexibility in schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12-hour shifts. Must be able to move between regional Urgent Care locations as directed. Ability to work independently, with situational awareness and quick movement without compromising quality or customer service, is essential. The PA maintains continuing education credits as prescribed by licensing bodies and SMG, maintains prescriptive authority, acquires special clinical competencies as required, participates in quality assurance and utilization management, and assists with risk management functions. Completion of NRCME is expected within 30 days of employment. Prescription Authority is limited to VA staff.
