An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled ACP to join our urgent on the day team in our rapid access clinic. Working alongside our ANP and urgent on the day GP you will assess those patients requiring same day care.

Cranleigh Medical Practice is a friendly, forward-thinking GP practice committed to delivering high-quality care to our local community. We are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner with a prescribing qualification to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our urgent, on-the-day care service, supporting both adults and children with a wide range of minor illnesses.

Main duties of the job

As part of our clinical team, you will:

Provide same-day consultations for patients presenting with acute and minor illnesses.

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients independently including prescribing medications within your scope of practice.

Support the duty team with on-the-day demand and help ensure timely, safe, and effective care.

See patients of all ages, including children, working within your scope of practice and experience.

Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, and our wider multidisciplinary team.

A registered Nurse or Paramedic with advanced clinical practice training (Masters level or equivalent experience).

A qualified independent prescriber.

Experienced in assessing and managing minor illness and urgent presentations.

Confident in seeing both adults and children within scope of practice.

A strong team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills
