Job description

Job Introduction

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner on the Wards in Sittingbourne Community Hospital, you’ll join a team of support workers/HCAs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses who are focused on exceeding the needs of patients within our North Kent community.

This role covers services in Swale, and you may need to work in both Sittingbourne Community Hospital and Sheppey Community Hospital.

You will support the delivery of care to a range of complex patients, including those with life-limiting conditions such as diabetes, in-dwelling long-term catheters, urgent wound care, etc.

This is a weekday service, working Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. No weekends or bank holidays are required.

Main Responsibilities

As the Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, practicing autonomously and flexibly. Practitioners should have significant experience in primary care or A&E/Minor Injuries Unit. Working within the nursing team, you will collaborate with the service manager and clinical lead to deliver robust clinical care.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have an Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification, be NMC registered, and hold a prescribing qualification.

You should be confident in using IT systems and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
