Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care and Multidisciplinary team at HMP Hewell, a category B prison located in Redditch. Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 08:30am - 16:30pm. Salary: up to £63,000 per annum, depending on experience.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Demonstrate judgment in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
  • Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, which includes a variety of registered and non-registered professionals
  • Act as a role model, maintaining professional standards at all times
  • Support senior clinicians on site and be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
  • Work with the team to ensure patient safety, management of complex cases, and application of up-to-date treatment methodologies
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Adult / Mental Health with current NMC or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC
  • Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
  • Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment. Secure environments are challenging yet rewarding places to work.
