Admissions Assistant Mainstream Secondary School (Sutton Borough)

Salary: £26,200 £32,400 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time or Part-time (flexible working considered)

Are you organised, confident, and passionate about helping families navigate the admissions process? We are a thriving mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Sutton seeking a proactive and professional Admissions Assistant to join our supportive administrative team.

About the Role

As our Admissions Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming admissions experience for students and families. You will work closely with the Admissions Officer and wider school team to manage all aspects of the admissions process from initial enquiry to student enrolment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a first point of contact for admissions enquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Process and maintain accurate admissions records in line with statutory guidance
  • Support with the coordination of school visits, open events, and transition activities
  • Assist with waiting lists, in-year admissions, and entry assessments
  • Liaise with parents, local authority teams, and internal departments
  • Provide high-quality administrative support, ensuring deadlines are met and information is handled confidentially
