Administrative Officer

Post: Administrative Officer

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week.

Salary: Grade 6 - FTE £25,995 to £26,409. Actual Salary up to £18,737 per annum.

Contract: Permanent, Term time plus 1 week (39 weeks).

Start: As soon as possible.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school office. You must be articulate, well-presented and flexible, with the ability to be organised, punctual and efficient in managing workloads and time effectively.

Key responsibilities & selected requirements
  • Experience in a school administration role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Knowledge and expertise of using Microsoft Office.
  • Good all-round education, common sense, and willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life.
  • Ability to be calm and tactful in difficult situations.
  • Ability to exercise absolute discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality both within and beyond the school.
  • Excellent communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, Trustees, pupils, contractors and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Proficient IT skills and practical experience in Google and Microsoft applications.
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
