An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our very dynamic Palliative Care Service as an Administrative Assistant. The service includes three teams which support patients at various stages of their illness:

  • Enhanced Supportive Care
  • Specialist Palliative Care
  • Transforming End of Life Care

As part of this role you will engage with and support the medical examiners service at UCLH, and actively manage the administrative processes attached to the services, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with and support the medical examiners service at UCLH.
  • Actively manage administrative processes for the Palliative Care Service's three teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for the multidisciplinary team and patients.
  • Deliver a high‑quality administration service, fostering a positive patient experience and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain and update patient and service databases, using Microsoft Excel.
  • Manage a high‑volume workload, working autonomously and proactively.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience maintaining databases and confidence in using Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Proactive, with willingness to take ownership, accountability, and manage high‑volume workload.
  • Flexible, accurate, and capable of working autonomously.
