FluoRok is a dynamic, VC-backed start‑up transforming the future of fluorochemicals. Founded in 2022 as a spin‑out from the University of Oxford, we develop safer, more sustainable, and cost‑effective solutions for essential fluorochemicals which are critical materials for energy storage, global sustainability, health and food supplies.

FluoRok is entering an exciting new phase of growth, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and administratively minded individual to join us. We need someone who is a fast learner, keen to develop a broad understanding of how a growing business operates, and ready to support a wide range of functions across the company.

You don’t necessarily need years of experience - just strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, a proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved wherever needed. This is an amazing opportunity to quickly build a broad range of skills that will be invaluable for a future career in administration and operations.

This role is office‑based at ARC Oxford, one of the UK’s leading innovation campuses, where we operate across a cutting‑edge R&D facility and a newly launched pilot plant.

We will consider part‑time or full‑time candidates, with a minimum requirement of 25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
General Administration & Operations
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the business
  • Assist with diary scheduling, meeting coordination
  • Manage company travel
  • Help organise documents, maintain filing systems and support with general office tasks
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests, always with a flexible and can‑do mindset
Finance & Compliance Support
  • Basic bookkeeping such as posting invoices and bank reconciliation
  • Help maintain an up‑to‑date contract database and ensure accurate record‑keeping
  • Assist in gathering data and supporting documents needed for grant reporting and claims
Commercial & Customer Support
  • Maintain sales and customer records, updating CRM data and assisting with basic reporting
  • Support the commercial team with administrative tasks and customer information tracking
Project Support
  • Assist with arranging project meetings, preparing materials and keeping track of key actions
  • Provide general support to project leads and gain exposure to how projects are run in a growing company
Marketing & Communications
  • Help prepare and schedule simple social media posts
  • Assist with basic communications and formatting content for internal or external use
Requirements
  • Is highly organised, reliable and detail‑oriented
  • Learns quickly and enjoys understanding how different parts of a business work

  • Has excellent written and spoken English

  • Has good basic IT skills

Desirable
