A local educational authority in Glenrothes is seeking an Admin Assistant for a primary school to provide essential administrative support. The role includes managing office operations and supervising Clerical Assistants under the guidance of the Headteacher. Candidates must possess an HNC or equivalent qualification to SCQF level 7, with the chance to achieve it within two years. Additionally, successful applicants will need to secure PVG membership before starting work.
We are looking for a highly skilled Admin Assistant to provide front line administrative support in a primary school, acting as the focal point for staff and visitors. You have specific responsibility for Financial and Devolved School Management issues, responding to changes in IT systems, and supervision and development of Clerical Assistant(s). You are responsible for the effective day‑day running of the school office.
As an Admin Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Headteacher or Admin Coordinator.
You are required to have an HNC or equivalent educational qualification to SCQF level 7, in a relevant discipline. You will be given the opportunity to work towards this within 2 years from start of employment.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
