Overview

Are you wanting a new challenge? Do you want to provide admin support for a children's home for children with a disability? We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to this exciting position.

The post is part time working 20 hours each week and there is some flexibility on the days and hours you work. Core office hours are 8.30 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 - 16.30 on a Friday. This post is part of the flexi time scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Update our social care recording system and undertake general administrative tasks to support managers and other professionals within the service.
  • Take minutes for meetings, respond to emails, and demonstrate the ability to multi-task.
  • Handle petty cash, reconciliations and reimbursements; processing invoices and dealing with purchase card transactions; accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Enthusiastic and highly self-motivated with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and personal resilience when dealing with challenging people, while maintaining a good sense of humour.
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills; able to work as part of a team and independently using your own initiative.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Teams; training will be provided for other applications required for the post.
  • Fully aware of data protection and confidentiality, as the role involves handling extremely sensitive and emotive information daily, including information relating to abuse and injuries to children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check and clearance will be required for this post.
