Plumwood Ltd are looking for a motivated Administrator Apprentice to join their team. Note: Training course: Business administrator. Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3:00pm. 30 hours a week. Start date: Monday 1 December 2025. Duration: 18 Months.
What you’ll do at work
Your duties will include:
- Liaising with internal account managers. Reviewing and updating driver documents/information.
- Completing analysis of tachograph data.
- Liaising with customers to request outstanding documents and data.
- Supporting internal account managers to develop and improve processes.
- Observing GDPR regulations and personal data confidentiality.
- General telephone and email communications.

Course contents
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others\' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation\'s procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms. Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively. Your training plan
For this Apprenticeship Standard, learners will have the opportunity to focus on the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the standard that will allow for good business acumen, decision making and the understanding of tools and techniques in relation to time and project management. The completion of this Apprenticeship Standard will require monthly training visits from a qualified IPS Trainer to help support the Apprentice. This will allow them to develop skills and progress the building of the Apprentice portfolio to prepare the learner for End Point Assessment.
Delivery is primarily carried out through remote visits, but the trainer will visit the learner’s workplace quarterly and at the start of training to allow for a good working relationship between all parties for smooth delivery of the Standard. Upon successful completion, the learner will achieve the Level 3 Business Administrator Standard.
