Job Summary
Applicants must have prior NHS administrative experience. We are seeking a reliable and organised individual to join our Primary Care Network (PCN) team as an Admin Assistant. In this role you will provide essential administrative support with a focus on managing referrals, handling and processing patient referrals, managing communication, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and assisting with general office tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the building, ensuring security and smooth operation.
- Greet and assist arriving patients, providing a welcoming and professional environment.
- Create and manage referrals via the Electronic Referral System (ERS).
- Serve as the main point of contact for clinical staff, facilitating communication and support.
- Ensure clinic rooms are clean, tidy, and well‑stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the day‑to‑day operations of the PCN.

- Familiarity with electronic healthcare systems beyond EMIS and ERS.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
