Job description

We are working in partnership with a well‑established, specialist neurodevelopmental assessment provider to recruit an experienced ADI‑R Assessor (Psychologist). This is an excellent opportunity for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with strong autism assessment experience to work flexibly within a dedicated ASD service, supporting children, young people and adults through high‑quality diagnostic assessments.

This role is particularly well suited to psychologists looking to further specialise in autism assessment, broaden their professional network in this space, and contribute to reducing assessment waiting times through efficient, person‑centred practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high‑quality ADI‑R assessments as part of a comprehensive autism diagnostic pathway
  • Gather, analyse and interpret developmental histories in line with best‑practice diagnostic standards
  • Produce clear, timely and high‑quality clinical reports
  • Work collaboratively within a wider multidisciplinary team to ensure robust clinical decision‑making
  • Maintain professional, ethical and HCPC‑compliant practice at all times
Requirements
  • HCPC‑registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (essential)
  • Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification UK experience
  • Significant ADI‑R experience – completion of 50+ ADI‑R assessments (essential)
  • ADI‑R trained and confident working autonomously
  • Experience with other diagnostic tools such as ADOS is highly desirable
  • Strong report‑writing skills and a person‑centred, neuro‑affirmative approach
