The role requires operating mobile plant equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and handling food waste. Qualifications

• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling and coordinating the operation of the ReFood site.
• Operate Mobile Plant safely and efficiently according to guidelines.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of the facility and equipment.
• Support staff coverage for absences and operational needs.
• Handle food waste and perform basic lab tests as needed.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting the AD Site Supervisor in controlling and coordinating the safe and efficient operation of the ReFood operation in accordance with management instructions, Health & Safety and Legislative requirements.
• Operating Mobile Plant in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with Group Policies and Procedures.
• Assisting with ensuring that the facility, its plant and equipment are maintained and cleaned as specified.
• Working in accordance with staff rosters and the provision of cover for planned/unplanned absence.
• Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested by the ReFood Management Team
• Be prepared to handle food waste and associated waste products at all times. Some heavy lifting may be required.
• Able to undergo training in order to reach a competent standard of understanding and ability to operate the plant using computer control systems.
• Be able to work on your own or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Have the ability to undertake, process and quality checks and perform basic lab tests.
• A counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is essential.
• Be flexible, practical, and hardworking.
• Willing to be trained to work at height and in confined spaces
• This is a permanent role working an average of 42 hours per week (12 hour shifts) 4 on / 4 off shift pattern days and nights., Salary: Competitive Salary and Benefits
