Job description

To provide an efficient, timely and responsive QSHE Management support to the business. Contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient QSHE systems and procedures to support the company as required. Develop, implement and maintain QSHE policies and procedures across office, workshop and site activities (UK and overseas). Provide support to office and site teams to embed a proactive QSHE culture.

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all panel hardware and software meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Implement quality assurance practices, including regular inspections and audits to address any quality issues.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, maintain, and develop the QMS ensuring it is up to date with effective change controls in place on processes and documentation.
  • Support BU led project reviews, investigating root causes, and agreeing effective corrective & preventative actions (CAPA), monitoring CAPA log and tracking actions to closure.
  • Co-ordinate and conduct Internal audits and ensure all department owners are informed and take ownership of the process and actions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in QSHE practices.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the BU H&S Culture Ladder.
  • Support project managers with compliance to CDM regulations.
  • Conduct reviews of contractor documentation, and deliver safety meetings, audits, and inspections.
  • Ensuring legislative compliance and promotion of continuous improvement of safety performance.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks to educate employees on safe working practices.
  • Develop and maintain workshop/office/project risk assessments and method statements.
  • Accident, incident, near miss and positive intervention investigations, identifying root causes and CAPA's.
  • Maintain customer driven systems (Safe Contractor, Avetta etc)
  • Provide safety training and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor and manage health risks associated with the workshop activities.
  • Provision of monthly H&S data collection, reporting and delivery of KPIs.
  • Support environmental sustainability to meet targets and drive towards net zero objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Support and guide company compliance with UK H&S legislation and VINCI QSHE strategies.
  • Conduct inductions and creation/delivery of QSHE training.
  • Maintain QSHE SharePoint/intranet pages (updating of names, dates, documents).
  • Produce timely and efficient reports/information to managers.
  • Support the development and implementation of the BU's QSHE Shared Strategic Plan (SSP).
  • Provide relevant input on QSHE matters during the tender and contract award process.
  • Use feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Carry out other duties as required and appropriate to the role.
  • Office based with occasional travel to UK and international customer sites. NVQ Level 3/4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice or NEBOSH certificate & Tech IOSH
  • Working Knowledge of ISO Standards 9001, 45001 & 14001, competent internal auditor. 5+ years of practical experience in a production / office environment. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative and confident in training others. Effective time management and self-motivation. Good in both written and oral skills to deliver reports to the business and customers. Influence others to achieve key objectives and drive improvements. Strong attention to detail.
