Qualifications

  • AMIOA qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in Environmental and/or Building Acoustics consultancy.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a highly respected, UK leading firm with expertise in building acoustics and energy, with a number of offices spanning the UK and abroad. This successful organisation is looking to recruit a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant to complement a team of noise specialists in their office based in Leeds and contribute to a challenging range of projects in both public and private sectors.

Qualifications
  • Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/ Noise and Vibration
  • AMIOA
Experience
  • Acoustic consultancy experience in the field of Environmental and/or Building Acoustics
  • Technically competent and IT proficient
  • Good communication and client liaison skills
  • Extensive and detailed understanding of sound insulation testing
  • Highly organised and IT literate
Duties
  • Measurement surveys and reporting
  • Providing a solution in line with noise control and insulation
  • Prediction and measurement of transportation noise
  • Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation
  • Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
  • Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
  • Writing high quality reports
  • Industrial and commercial noise control
  • Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on the appropriate use of planning conditions
  • Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
