Role: Accounts Senior

Location: Shipley

Salary: £33,000 to £43,000

This is a great opportunity to join a well established and respected practice in Shipley. The firm has a strong local reputation and is looking to bring an experienced accounting professional into their close knit team as an Accounts Senior. You'll be supporting a varied client base, taking ownership of more complex assignments and contributing to the ongoing success of a growing practice.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients preparing annual accounts and tax computations for more complex assignments
  • Review and gather information for personal tax returns
  • Hold client meetings to discuss accounts, tax positions and planning opportunities
  • Allocate work to colleagues and provide support, guidance and constructive feedback
  • Review completed work for accuracy, presentation and alignment with internal standards
  • Identify areas to enhance client service or introduce additional value added services
Requirements
  • UK practice experience is essential
  • Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified although QBE applicants will be considered
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles
  • Confident managing client relationships and resolving queries
  • Positive and proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
