A regional logistics company is seeking a recent graduate to assist the finance director with responsibilities including management accounts, bank reconciliations, and maintaining Sage accounts. Job description

My client is a Distribution and logistics company who are looking for a recent graduate to help the finance director with the finance duties. You'll be working and reporting to the finance director where you'll gain valuable experience and take ownership of some of the tasks given to you. The company has a good culture and no one has left in 25years due to the family atmosphere and fair and hands on leadership by the Managing Director.

You will be responsible for:

  • Producing management accounts and budgets
  • Posting of invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining Sage accounts and internal controls
  • Liaising between various departments and working with our customers
  • Co-ordinating the purchase ledger and rent accounting systems
  • Preparing payments
  • Posting journals and general office duties
  • Including ICT support and administration
  • Must have a 2:1 or above in Accountancy / Maths / Economics / Business
  • Proficient spreadsheet and ICT skills
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and accuracy skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to high standards of service delivery
  • A professional approach and can-do attitude
