Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounts inbox and handle queries.
  • Prepare and process weekly BACS payments.
  • Manage credit card transactions and petty cash records.
  • Provide excellent customer service via phone.
  • Support finance tasks to meet month-end deadlines.
  • Post daily bank transactions and manage cheques.
  • Perform bank reconciliations across multiple companies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ledgers.

Skills

AAT Level 2 qualification (or qualified by experience)
Experience in a busy finance team (minimum 2 years)

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key part in ensuring finance operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the accounts inbox and handling queries
  • Preparing and processing weekly BACS payments
  • Managing credit card transactions and petty cash records
  • Handling calls and providing excellent customer service
  • Supporting wider finance tasks to meet month-end deadlines
  • Posting daily bank transactions and managing cheques
  • Carrying out bank reconciliations across multiple companies
  • Reconciling supplier statements and ledgers
What We’re Looking For
  • AAT Level 2 qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Experienced in a busy finance team (minimum 2 years)
  • Proactive, professional, and able to work under pressure
