Overview

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to support a well established company based in Kingswinford.

Responsibilities
  • Managing Payroll and pensions
  • Customer payments
  • Supplier payments
  • Manage parts of the HR function with external professional support (no experience required)
  • Sales and purchase invoice entry
  • Recording and reconciliation of bank and PayPal transactions
  • Assist clients/suppliers with any bookkeeping related queries
  • Liaise with HMRC as necessary to reconcile VAT/PAYE control accounts
  • Posting month end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals
  • Prepayments
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel - advanced user level
  • Proficient in Sage 50
  • A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and multitasking skills
  • Commercially savvy with a focus on the customer
  • Proven experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Company focused with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.

  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (preferred but not essential).

In return we will provide a competitive salary, hours of work, Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 2pm, annual holiday 23 days per annum plus public holidays.
