Responsibilities

  • Compile and deliver key management reports.
  • Provide support to the Head of Finance.
  • Assist in preparing month-end accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Process employee expense claims.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Take ownership of inventory tracking.
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Support in addressing audit requests.

Salary

£24,000 - £26,000 + study support + bonus

Main Duties
  • Compile and deliver key management reports, with a focus on inventory and expenditure analysis
  • Provide support to the Head of Finance by producing insightful variance analysis
  • Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of month‑end accounts
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance existing financial processes
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, along with other statutory and external reports
  • Process and review employee expense claims in line with company policy
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
  • Take ownership of inventory tracking, including conducting regular stock counts
  • Perform reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support the finance team in addressing audit requests and ensuring compliance
