A law firm on the Isle of Wight is seeking an experienced Accounts & Practice Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure smooth day-to-day management. This role includes managing financial transactions, interacting with suppliers, and reporting to directors. Qualifications

  • Manage financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Serve as the point of contact for various operational aspects of the firm.
  • Report on financial matters to the director and handle issues as they arise.

Accounts and Practice Manager – Law firm

Join our friendly law firm on the Isle of Wight as an Accounts & Practice Manager — a varied role combining financial oversight with operational leadership.

Accounts
  • Responsible for managing financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records
  • Run payroll and maintain pension records online
  • Report monthly on P&L and maintain cashflow
  • Point of contact for accountants and finance/banking providers
Practice Manager
  • Point of contact for suppliers including IT, case management, telephones, energy etc.
  • Report on any issues to director, including building management, complaints, staff matters etc.
  • Deal with PII, CQS, insurances
  • Maintain website and social media accounts

This is a chance to work in a good team of people, training from the retiring role-holder will be available if necessary.

Desirable Compentencies
  • Experience in accounting software such as Xero or Sage
  • Experience in using matter management software such as Inisght or Leap
Benefits
  • Salary: £32,500 - £34,000 depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 25 days a year plus birthday, all bank holidays given and paid plus 3 additional days for Christmas, at Director’s discretion
