Job summary

A higher education provider in the UK is seeking Lecturers for its BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. You will be responsible for planning and delivering courses while engaging in student support and development activities. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree and have UK HE lecturing experience. Flexibility to teach evenings and weekends is required, and experience in developing course materials is desirable.

Job description

We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and at weekends.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met
• Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate
• Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
• Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
• Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
• Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression

Qualifications

• Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
• Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
• Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback

Desirable qualifications

• Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
• Experience of design / development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
