Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to support the business through a busy spell on a temporary basis. This role will be very broad, and see you involved in the full accounting process, including areas such as AP, AR, month end and payroll. You should have a strong and varied range of accounting skills to succeed in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting accounts receivable and payable, including invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and debtor/vendor follow-up.
- Preparing and issuing customer invoices, ensuring accuracy of data and timely reporting.
- Processing employee expenses, mileage claims, and corporate card transactions.
- Administrating payroll for all staff, contractors, and self-employed workers, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Maintaining payroll records, reconciling timesheets, and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Reporting and processing employee absences such as sickness and parental leave with relevant authorities.
- Preparing documentation and supporting materials for audits.
- Supporting month-end close, including accruals, provisions, and asset or lease management.
- Completing reconciliations for general ledger, bank accounts, VAT, and other statutory returns.
- Contributing to process improvements and providing ad-hoc financial support to the team.
