Overview

Role: Accountant

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30

Our client, a successful Family Practice in North Nottinghamshire, is seeking to appoint an Accountant with experience within Stat and Tax who is happy to mentor three junior members of staff and who, in the future, may want to take over this small Practice.

Duties

• Analyse client financial records
• Identify potential tax deductions and savings
• Advise clients on tax laws
• Complete and submit tax returns
• Liaise with HMRC
• Develop tax planning strategies
• Assist clients with cash flow
• Complete and review tax returns
• Provide advice and coaching to colleagues
• Support and review trainee Accountants’ work

Experience

• ACCA/ACA qualfies/part qualified or QBE
• 3 years’ experience within a UK practice
• Experience of preparing year end accounts
• In-depth understanding of UK tax laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical thinking skills
• Hands-on, a real player-manager
• Experience of cradle to grave accounting
