Overview

Responsibilities
  • Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies from incomplete records.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Complete self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns.
  • Assist with monthly bookkeeping and management accounts.
  • Support clients with Capital Gains Tax calculations and submissions.
  • Liaise with clients and HMRC as required to resolve queries promptly.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment.
  • Proficient in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to work to deadlines while managing multiple client priorities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use initiative while working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
