Job Title: Semi Senior Accountant

Location: Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview

Our client is an established and growing independent accountancy practice based in Milton Keynes, specialising in accountancy, taxation, and business advisory services for small and medium-sized businesses. Due to continued organic growth, they are now seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone already working within a UK practice who is looking to further develop their technical skills in a supportive, flexible environment with genuine long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as a key point of contact for a varied portfolio of clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service
  • Preparing Statutory Accounts
  • Preparing Corporation Tax Returns
  • Preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns and P11Ds
  • Preparing Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Attending and participating in regular client meetings
  • Managing multiple assignments and ensuring all deadlines are met
The Ideal Candidate
  • AAT qualified and actively studying towards ACCA or ACA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail-driven
  • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Confident managing a varied client portfolio
Desirable
  • Experience using IRIS software
  • Exposure to advisory-focused client work
