Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans, identify and capture new business opportunities, and manage the tender process to deliver profitable growth.
  • Customer Insights: Analyse customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to provide data-driven solutions and become a trusted insights partner.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract and pricing negotiations to deliver win-win outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams across commercial, production, technical, and sustainability functions to ensure seamless delivery and maximise value from customer partnerships.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on account performance, sales activity, and market trends to senior management.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in key account management, ideally within fresh produce or FMCG (minimum five years' experience).
  • Expertise in managing budgets and trade revenue to deliver strong ROI.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and planning software.
  • A flexible approach to work, including willingness to travel extensively to visit suppliers and cover occasional weekend requirements.
  • A clean UK/EU driving licence.
