Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience is required.
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent qualifications are necessary.
  • FA DBS check and FA Safeguarding Children certification needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver HTM Supported Learning sessions to players.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain consistency.
  • Update student registers and tracking sheets weekly.
  • Produce regular reviews as directed by Education Officer.
  • Liaise with player school subject links.
  • Create and manage classroom resources.
  • Safeguard players during Day Release when necessary.
  • Report safeguarding concerns as needed.
  • Support holiday revision sessions.

At Leeds United, we know that success on the pitch starts with strength behind the scenes. We are seeking driven and passionate casual tutors to join our Academy Education department to facilitate and help support our Academy Scholars through their education programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Academy Education Tutor will be responsible for delivering a safe, first‑class education provision to Academy players on the Hybrid Training Model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of the HTM Supported Learning sessions with players requiring subject specific support.
  • Appropriate and consistent classroom management and positive behaviour reinforcement.
  • Update registers & tracking sheets for all students on timetable – weekly.
  • Production of 6 weekly reviews against school & club – As directed by the U9 – U16 Education Officer.
  • Liaising with player school subject links as appropriate.
  • Production and/or collation of classroom resources as needed.
  • Supervision of players, where necessary in order to safeguard players during Day Release.
  • Report all safeguarding concerns to My Concern or seek advice from the Academy Safeguarding Officer.
  • Support the Academy holiday revision sessions.

You’ll ideally have:

  • QTS Certification or equivalent.
