Are you ready to shape the future with your innovative thinking? The Academic Account Specialist is responsible for driving sales of all McGraw Hill products with a strong focus on improving ROI and sell‑through of our existing business. The role aims to grow core existing business and support universities in their digital transformation by meeting sales and engagement targets, increasing account revenue, and managing overall account relationships. This includes collaborating with internal teams and external eBook partners to ensure product success and alignment with teaching needs.

How you can make an impact

In this role, you will manage a defined territory, proactively engage existing customers, and help generate new business opportunities through virtual meetings, email, and phone outreach. You will deepen engagement with current MH content users, scale existing eBook accounts, and support smooth adoption by partnering with marketing, product, commercial teams, and eBook retailers. By ensuring high usage, strong sell‑through rates, and effective remote product demonstrations, you directly influence customer satisfaction and the growth of MH's digital and print solutions.

What you will be doing
  • Actively engage with all existing adoptions primarily through virtual/remote methods to strengthen relationships and increase engagement, usage, and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of decision‑makers to enhance the value and performance of current adoptions.
  • Manage data effectively using SFDC/Tableau to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and territory insights.
  • Balance maintaining high sell‑through and usage of existing sales while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to qualify MQLs, support demand‑generation efforts, and proactively research and prospect for growth opportunities.
  • Represent McGraw Hill professionally in internal meetings both virtual and in‑person including sales meetings that may occur outside the UK/IR.
  • Meet assigned regional revenue targets, support channel sales (where applicable), and drive increased eBook/courseware engagement and revenue within the territory.

  • Strong drive for success with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities and confidence in virtual communication (meetings, phone, email)
  • Engaging remote presentation skills and interest/experience in solution‑selling or consultative sales (preferred but not required)
