Job summary

A leading technology consultancy is seeking an ABAP Developer for a 6-month contract role. This position offers remote work with travel requirements. The ideal candidate will design and maintain custom SAP solutions, collaborate with various business partners, and support ongoing SAP Development projects. Key qualifications include strong ABAP experience, knowledge of core SAP modules, and familiarity with EDI and IDocs development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Overview: Our client is a leading figure in the UK food sector. They are seeking an ABAP Developer to join the SAP Development Team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP applications, reports, enhancements, and interfaces.
• Customise and extend standard SAP modules to meet specific organisational requirements.
• Collaborate with business partners, solution architects, and functional consultants to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Deliver successful SAP Development project work, change requests, and critical BAU support.
• Assist the SAP ABAP Development Lead in reviewing work packages and giving timescales for completion.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code, and troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed code and solutions.

Qualifications

• ABAP experience including ALV Reporting, Enhancement techniques (BAdI's, User-Exits, Implicit enhancements, etc.), SAPScript, Smartforms, and LSMW.
• Experience in EDI and IDocs development, configuration, and processing.
• Functional knowledge of core modules: SD, FI/CO, MM, and PP.
