Job description

As a Lecturer in A-Level Accounting at New City College, you will deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. You will act as a personal tutor, support curriculum design, manage admissions and induction processes, and collaborate closely with colleagues, employers and external agencies to enhance student placements and career progression. You will provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate course records, and uphold the College’s values of equality, diversity, safeguarding and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality A-Level Accounting lessons that meet national standards and inspire diverse learners.
  • Act as a personal tutor, guiding students through academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, employers and external agencies to support student placements, career progression and higher education opportunities.
  • Design, review and update curriculum and assessment materials to align with local community needs and employment opportunities.
  • Provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate course records and promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • A degree or comparable qualification in Accounting or a related subject.
