Job summary

A multinational DIY and home improvement retailer is seeking 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers. Overview

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for 7.5 tonne Multi-drop Delivery Drivers for our client based in Yeading UB3, a multinational DIY, home improvement and garden centre retailing company.

PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

Monday to Saturday PAYE £16.50 to £21.00 per hour (including holiday pay). Sundays/Bank Holiday £24.00 per hour.

Type of shifts

• Delivering DIY & building materials to homes & sites
• Shifts run 7 days a week Monday to Sunday (minimum 2 shifts a week)
• Start times can vary between 6am and 7am

All-round Duties

• Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner.
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Valid UK manual CAT C1 licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN).
• Valid CPC.
• At least 1-year experience as a 7.5T driver / LGV / HGV (references required).
• Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C1) in the past 12 months.
• You must be over the age of 25 years (insurance purposes).
• Physically fit, as all delivers/collections require lifting and shifting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
