A local government organization in England is hiring support workers to provide care for adults with learning disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, administering medication, and supporting meal preparation. Applicants should have experience in a related care setting or informal care. This role offers flexible working hours including weekends and is committed to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
We are recruiting self-motivated and enthusiastic support workers, providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities within their own homes. You will make a difference to the quality of a person's life by supporting them with their daily living activities. This can include intimate personal care including showering/bathing, dressing or undressing, assisting with toileting etc. It will also include administering medication, supporting with meal preparation, and participating in leisure activities to enable individuals to get the most from their daily life. You will have an understanding of the importance of social inclusion, promoting independence and enabling positive life choices.
If you have experience of working in a care setting or provided informal care and support to family or friends then we would love to hear from you. You must understand that a person is at the centre of the care and have a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

The work includes weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays. Additional enhancements are paid on top of the basic salary. Additional hours may also be available on top of the contracted hours.
