Job summary

A national health service in Scotland is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist for their orthopaedic team. Specialist Occupational Therapist

Orthopaedic Team

37 hours per week, Permanent Post

We have an exciting opportunity for the post of Specialist Occupational Therapist working within the orthopaedic team in the Royal Infirmary (RIE). This is a large team covering elective and trauma orthopaedics with many opportunities to further develop clinical and leadership skills plus, gain experience in quality improvement and service development.

You will have strong communication skills, excellent prioritisation and time management skills. You will be able to demonstrate initiative and leadership, and provide support to junior members of the team. The team is led by a Band 7 OT who you will deputise for in their absence. Previous experience in orthopaedics preferred but not essential. You will be required to participate in the weekend orthopaedic 5/7 duty rota.

We offer formal supervision, development opportunities and peer support from an experienced and friendly team.

There are strong network links to the hospital via bus services and an easily accessible free Park and Ride car park.
