A leading university in Scotland is seeking a Core Facility Bioinformatician to provide bioinformatics expertise and support research teams in developing computational workflows. The successful candidate will analyze large-scale omics datasets, contributing to cutting-edge biomedical discoveries. A PhD in a relevant discipline is required, along with research experience in computational biology. This position offers a salary of £41,064 to £48,822 per annum and options for flexible working.
Grade UE07: £41,064 to £48,822 per annum, pro rata if part time. CMVM / Institute of Genetics and Cancer. Full time: 35 hours per week. Open ended: permanent.
The Core Facility Bioinformatician will provide bioinformatics expertise and support to researchers across the institute. As a member of the established IGC Bioinformatics Analysis Core (BAC), the role involves working collaboratively with diverse research teams to develop computational workflows, analyze large-scale omics datasets, and deliver high-quality insights that drive cutting-edge biomedical discoveries.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is £41,064 to £48,822 per annum.
