Job Title & Overview

11251 - We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver for a 12‑month fixed term contract at our 466 branch located at 392a Little Horton Lane, Bradford, BD5 0NX. Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00. We seek an individual who is flexible to work within these times, has great people skills, and the desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams.

Remuneration & Reimbursement

Reimbursement for mileage on business journeys is 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter, in accordance with HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts must be obtained for each petrol station visit and mileage claims submitted weekly.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibility is to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing, and residential homes. While providing a high standard of customer service, you will portray a friendly professional image and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand. To succeed, you must work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated time period.

Attention to detail is paramount as you will ensure prescription items are delivered in line with the company’s regulated procedures.

Basic computer skills are required to plan and print daily routes in the branch before departure.

You may also assist with PR exercises to increase business.

Vehicle & Insurance

You must use your own vehicle; therefore, your personal insurance policy must allow for business use. Contact your insurer prior to interview to verify coverage. Note that "business insurance" refers to the vehicle only, not its contents. The Company will contribute to the business aspect of your insurance upon receipt of proof of increased premium.

People Skills & Teamwork

The successful candidate must have excellent people skills, work as part of a well‑established team, and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
