Overview

We are looking to recruit a 10 Hour Prescription Delivery Driver on a permanent contract at our 330‑branch located at Gordon Youth Centre, Durham Avenue, Netherton, Bootle, L30 1RF. The required working hours are: Monday 11:00‑13:00, Wednesday 11:00‑13:00, Thursday 10:00‑13:00 and Friday 10:00‑13:00. We are seeking an individual who is flexible, has great people skills and the desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing homes and residential homes. While providing a high standard of customer service, you will portray a friendly professional image and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand. To fulfil this role you must be able to work under pressure and deliver prescriptions within the designated time periods. You will plan and print daily routes in the branch before beginning your deliveries, maintain accurate mileage records, and submit weekly mileage claims. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure prescription items are delivered in line with the company’s regulated procedures.

Requirements

• Very basic computer skills to plan and print routes
• Own vehicle with a personal insurance policy that allows business use; please confirm with your insurer prior to interview
• Willingness to use your own vehicle and submit fuel receipts for reimbursement—40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter, in accordance with HMRC guidelines
• DBS check is part of the recruitment process
• Excellent people skills and the ability to represent the Cohens brand professionally
