1:1 Support Assistant – Full-Time (South Shields)

Location: South Shields

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

We’re recruiting a 1:1 Support Assistant to work closely with an individual pupil who needs consistent, personalised support to access education.

You’ll provide tailored academic, emotional and behavioural support, helping the pupil feel safe, understood and capable of success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Supporting learning tasks and engagement
  • Helping manage emotions and behaviour positively
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff

This role is ideal for someone calm, reliable and relationship-focused.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
