Ward33 are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopaedic Nurse to join our team.The successful candidate will provide specialised care to patients withmusculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and spinalinjuries. You will work closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, OrthogeriatricConsultants, Physiotherapists and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. We workin-line with the Best Practice Tariff for our fractured neck of femur patientsto ensure optimal outcomes for our patients.
Communicationwill be a vital part of your role to ensure safe and holistic care. We takedirect admissions from the Emergency Department and also repatriations fromother hospitals. The successful candidate will be expected to model and upholdthe Trust values and behaviours, providing a positive culture and environmentfor their
colleaguesand patients.
TheSister/Charge Nurse role will ensure that there is safe and effectivemanagement of the clinical area and contribute to the professional developmentof junior staff. The role includes responsibility for coordinating care,maintaining clinical standards and promoting patient safety and serviceimprovement. You will act as the senior Nurse for the ward/department and will,participate in bed management and patient flow as required.
The successful candidate will be responsiblefor:
Managing the safe flow of patients, includingadmissions and discharges
Maintain a high standard of clinical workwhen carrying out tasks
The administration and checking of medication
Keeping up to date with all mandatory androle specific training
