Context & Environment

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Wind Energy Operation Engineer, located in Athens with regular site visits (predominantly in Viotia region). The Wind Energy Operation Engineer will join the Wind Energy Assets team to work alongside other professionals to achieve its goals while fostering a culture of safety. The person will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of Wind Energy assets.

Activities
Role Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management
    1. Oversee the daily operations of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance
    2. Monitor and analyze turbine performance data to identify and resolve issues
    3. Prepare status reports and conduct follow-up meetings on issues.
  • Maintenance and Repairs
    1. Coordinate schedule/preventive/corrective maintenance and/or inspections of wind turbines
    2. Follow-up on troubleshoot for mechanical and/or electrical issues
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
    1. Collaborate with the HSE Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
    2. Promote a culture of safety within the team
  • Technical Support
    1. Provide technical support for the installation and commissioning of new projects
  • Documentation and Reporting
    1. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and operational data
    2. Prepare reports on turbine performance and maintenance activities
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    1. Work with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
    2. Manage contracts and ensure adherence to service agreements
Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). Master's degree will be considered as an asset
  • At least 3 years' experience related to RES projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English language
  • Ability to cope on a multitask environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of wind turbine technology, and excellent communication abilities
