A global engineering services company in Grand Est, France is seeking an experienced engineer specializing in Oil & Gas systems. Responsibilities include developing engineering drawings, conducting site surveys, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience and full proficiency in English. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects within a dynamic team focused on energy and environmental solutions.
• Develop engineering drawings (single-line diagrams, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, Loop drawing, network topology, and equipment layouts, Mounting Details) for CCTV; Access Control System; Data Network Telephony, Data Cabling Infrastructure and maybe Public Address / General Alarm System.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), bill of quantities (BOQ), and datasheets for system components including cameras, control panels, servers, card readers, biometric devices, cabling, and network equipment.
• Conduct technical site surveys to gather data for system design and equipment placement.
• Design network architecture for video/data transmission in harsh industrial environments.
• Ensure system design meets Oil & Gas security & Safety standards, hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx), and environmental protection ratings (IP/NEMA).
• Prepare technical specifications for procurement of CCTV/ACS/Data Network Telephony/PAGA hardware, software, and accessories.
• Develop installation drawings and cable routing plans (tray, conduit, and underground routes).
• Generate as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Produce FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) procedures.
• Produce Pre-commissioning Procedures
• Produce Commissioning Procedures
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, telecoms, and IT teams for power, communication, and integration needs.
• Provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure designs comply with international standards (e.g., IEC 62676, ONVIF, ISO 27001 for security systems, API RP 70E for offshore safety).
• Review vendor drawings and documents for accuracy and compliance.
Experience in Oil and Gas Telecom / IST system Design, Engineering and Installation
Microsoft Office Application such as Word, Excel, Power Point Proficiency
