Technical Pre-Sales Manager - EV Charging - Lyon

Location: Lyon, France

Contract: Full-time

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Manager to support the expansion of our EV charging solutions in the French market. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial drive with deep technical understanding of EV charging systems, enabling them to support clients throughout the entire pre-sales process — from prospecting to solution design and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Prospecting
  • Identify new business opportunities, prospects, and market segments.
  • Plan and execute client meetings to present tailored EV charging solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and respond to public or private tenders.
2. Needs Analysis & Technical Consulting
  • Understand and analyse client requirements to translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on technical, regulatory, and administrative constraints.
  • Recommend optimized or innovative solutions in line with client needs.
3. Project Management & Coordination
  • Define project specifications and establish key project milestones.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (technical teams, sales, support partners).
  • Monitor project progress, manage deadlines, and proactively resolve issues.
4. Client Relationship & Retention
  • Deliver after-sales support, including training, maintenance coordination, and customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and supplier interactions to ensure project success.
5. Reporting & Strategic Contribution
  • Track sales performance and prepare regular activity and forecasting reports.
  • Propose and implement improvements to commercial and technical strategy.
  • Conduct continuous market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the EV charging industry.
  • IRVE Level 3 certification required.
  • Native-level fluency in French, with professional proficiency in English.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.

Compensation: Base salary €36,000 + €7,000 bonus (Negotiable DOE)
