The Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for our AspenTech Subsurface Science & Engineering business unit, which produces software for the exploration and production of natural resources like oil, gas, mining, and geothermal and to solve sustainability problems like CO2 capture. In this role you will assist the software development, and the quality engineer teams for our cloud native product. You will evolve and maintain delivery pipelines and development environments for a large geographically distributed development group.

Your Impact

• Automate and sequence operations using YAML pipelines
• Build and manage artifacts from NPM libraries, React frontend services, Node based backend typescript services, C++ backend services
• Build and manage docker containers from source using various toolchains and build systems on Linux
• Deploy container to Kubernetes and Azure cloud stack
• Troubleshoot Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment pipelines
• Overlook security of the deployed system
• Capture knowledge, provide documentation and guidance for teammates
• Participate in the ceremonies of an agile team, report project progress internally

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role on Linux
• Source-control proficiency in Git
• Experience in maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps, Git Actions, GitLab; Knowledge of Azure Services and cloud infrastructure deployment
• Autonomy, curiosity, learning mindset
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Additional appreciated skills: TypeScript, NodeJS
