Position Overview

As a Solution Architect at XTEL, you will play a pivotal role in bridging client business requirements with the technical capabilities of our SaaS revenue management platform. This position focuses on hands‑on configuration, implementation, and technical leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality solutions for our clients in the consumer goods sector. You will collaborate closely with both client and internal teams to ensure our solutions drive real business value and meet project objectives. Success in this role requires a combination of technical expertise, functional acumen, and a consultative approach to customers, problem‑solving, and configuration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and document the end‑to‑end solution using the XTEL SaaS platform to meet customer business and technical requirements, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Lead and guide technical & business teams across multiple projects, effectively working within the broader team and optimizing use of people and resources.
  • Provide expertise in the XTEL solution, clearly articulating configuration options and benefits to client business processes, leading discussions on RGM with client business teams and tying these back to data, driving clients in key configuration decisions in order to maximize business value from our platform.
  • Conduct workshops with client teams to gather, formalize, and challenge requirements, translating them into clear functional blueprints and configuration specifications, and ensure system configurations and integrations meet client requirements while minimizing customization.
  • Implement and configure the XTEL SaaS solution to address client needs in close collaboration with technical teams, ensuring smooth handover of functional requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis on client requirements versus standard XTEL platform capabilities, recommending and implementing configuration options or closure strategies.
  • Facilitate the creation of test scripts, and drive both systems integration and user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
  • Provide technical governance and assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle, identifying and mitigating business and technical risks associated with solution configuration and implementation.
  • Act as a key communication bridge between client and product teams, providing actionable feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Deep‑deep into key strategic projects and initiatives, helping the team to tackle new challenges and increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely data availability, structure, and enrichment for implementation projects, with a focus on data quality and actionable insights.
  • Advise on data structures, baseline definitions, and the translation of business requirements into technical and functional specifications.
  • Maintain clear project documentation and ensure all deliverables are met with high quality and efficiency.
  • Actively coach and mentor team members, sharing expertise and supporting skill development across the team.
Qualifications

A great candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in configuring and implementing SaaS solutions, ideally within the CPG or revenue management sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a passion for data and process optimization.
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency with relevant software tools; advanced Excel knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in leading technical teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business processes, particularly in the context of CPG or similar industries.
  • Highly organized, including planning, documentation, and milestone tracking.
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven, with strong problem‑solving abilities and a pragmatic approach.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.

Location Preference

Our first preference is for candidates who are based in or near Leuven, Belgium, where our office is located. However, we are also open to candidates based elsewhere in Europe who are interested in working fully remotely.
