Overview

Shift Manager position in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will join the manufacturing team to support the Production and Project Manager. After a period of training, you will be responsible for a team of shift employees, ensuring the achievement of plans and targets to achieve an efficient and cost-effective operation. The role focuses on the day-to-day management of the shift, with emphasis on production, and on leading and developing the team in accordance with local HR policies and corporate procedures. A safety-first approach is essential; experience with a continuous improvement mindset is advantageous. Attention to detail regarding quality is critical and must be upheld by the shift teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of shift employees during your rotation to meet production plans and targets.
  • Drive safe operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage shift staff in line with local HR policies and corporate procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Production and Project Manager to support manufacturing objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions to maintain product standards.
  • Provide clear communication and feedback to employees and management.
About you / Qualifications
  • Likely to be an industrial or mechanical engineer with a passion for their work and a self-motivated approach to tasks.
  • Strong man-management and communication skills; ability to manage communications with employees and managers alike.
  • Experience in managing people in a manufacturing environment with high-speed and high-volume production.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Comprehensive training will be provided. The plant operates in three shifts from Monday to Friday.
